Volume

Take payment in crypto through a hosted checkout. Create an invoice, send the payer to it, and get a signed webhook once the money is yours.

Volume lets a business take payment in crypto. Your server creates an invoice and opens a checkout for it. The payer pays from the exchange or wallet they already use. Volume confirms the payment, tells your server with a signed webhook, and pays the money out to you.

It starts where the money is. Most people hold crypto on an exchange, so the checkout asks where they are paying from first. A payer on Binance is told exactly what to withdraw, on which network, with Binance's own withdrawal fee added, so what arrives is what you asked for.

A payment counts once it is final. Volume's custodian accepts a deposit only after the network's confirmations, and only then is it credited. An invoice.paid webhook never refers to money that can still disappear.

You are paid in your own currency. Every payment is credited to your balance in dollars, less Volume's fee. It can be paid out to your bank account in naira as each payment arrives, or held until you withdraw.

How a payment works

  1. Create an invoice. POST /v1/invoices with the amount in US dollars, such as "25.00".
  2. Open a checkout. POST /v1/checkout_sessions for the invoice returns a url, https://paywithvolume.com/cs_…. Send the payer there.
  3. The payer pays. They pick where they are paying from and a coin, and get an address and an exact amount. They have 30 minutes to send it.
  4. Volume confirms it. The payer watches it arrive and gather confirmations. Once the custodian accepts it, the invoice is paid and your endpoint gets invoice.paid.
  5. You are paid. The payment, less Volume's fee, is credited to your balance and paid out to your bank account. The payer goes back to your success_url.

What payers can pay with

CoinNetworks
Bitcoin (BTC)Bitcoin, Lightning
Tether USD (USDT)Tron (TRC20), BNB Smart Chain (BEP20)

Payers can pick Binance, Bybit or Trust Wallet by name, pay with any Lightning wallet, or choose "Another wallet or exchange" and send from anywhere that can send these coins. Bitcoin is valued at the rate the payer was quoted when they chose it, and you carry none of its price movement. USDT counts as exactly one dollar.

An invoice can be for up to $100,000. Lightning is offered only for invoices of $1,000 or less.
